Pre-Press Operative
Responsibilities
- Design and/or interpret customer requirements to print ready artwork proofs using CorelDRAW and liaise with the client for approval
- Prepare new part orders for production including (but not limited to) film layout, tooling design, material specifications and colour match specifications
- Update SL Orders with part specification and productions details to ensure clear and accurate translation to production
- Release new part orders to production and liaise with the customer service team and production manager
- Maintain accurate storage of digital artwork files and hard-copy technical files including revision control
- Assist marketing activities such as flyers and brochure designs
Qualifications
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Windows is essential, with a requirement to develop a good understanding of CorelDRAW
- Keen eye for detail
- Technically minded and capable of interpreting Technical Drawings
- Fast learner
- Ability to work accurately and to tight deadlines
- Flexible and adaptable
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Willingness and energy to learn
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Self-motivated and driven
